This one was an attempt to make a t-shirt design following ten hundred’s method in this video. I love creating t-shirts and have printed a few but direct to garment, which is the cheapest way to do small runs is often quite poor quality.
I ‘d love to do a proper screen print run but that would need enough demand to make it worth while.
I drew this in procreate and then finished in Adobe Fresco. All in vector. I actually really like the way it came out. The model is Gracie from Draw Brighton again.

drawn on procreate. Gracie https://www.instagram.com/bassiegracie/ is the model. One from her insta and one from https://www.draw-brighton.co.uk archives. 6b pencil from Gabrielleโs portrait set.
Hereโs the final scan of a portrait of the fantastic Aflo the Poet. The photo was from the fab Draw Brighton. I drew this in ink and pro markers with a hint of white ink on heavyweight water colour paper. I really enjoyed this and itโs sort of a preliminary for a larger watercolour piece.
There is so much I got wrong here. I am not sure why I cannot take the time and get the under drawing and proportions right. Youโd think I would learn patience by now!
For this I sketched it in non-photo blue pencil and then inked in my sketchbook. Then I scanned it and transferred it on to watercolour paper with a light pad. Something changed with the proportions when I scanned it and it got a bit larger for some reason.

This is another thing that evolved out of figure drawing practice thanks to draw Brighton reference photos.
Another figure drawing practice piece. This time after the intial pencil sketch of the model, I decided to fill in the colours with promarkers. There are some real successโ here for me. The legs and feet I am particularly fond of. The background however somewhat losts itโs way. Like a poem that starts with a great first line and then struggles to maintain that impetus, that is what I found here, the figure was goodish and served the purpose of life drawing practice and I like the idea of the flowers. The background however is way too busy and the mountains less than successful. Thanks again to Draw Brighton for the reference.
Drawn using promarkers and finelines on watercolour paper.

Started out as a figure drawing practice and evolved into this. Blackstar ink with brush on heavy watercolour paper. Laying down the ink is soooo satisfying.
